The number of people with antibodies is particularly high in the age group of 70 to 74 year olds with a share of 91 percent in England. In the age group of over 75 years of age, the proportion of those who tested positive for antibodies has recently decreased slightly. The experts explain this with the fact that this age group had the longest time since the first vaccination and the level of antibodies has probably fallen again since then. However, they emphasized that no conclusions could be drawn from this about a reduced protective effect, since immunity only partially depends on antibodies.
