INE orders to download extracts from the morning of April 12

The Complaints and Complaints Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered to download extracts from the morning of April 12, since the comments made at that press conference may violate electoral principles.

In response to a complaint from the PRD, this Commission granted the requested precautionary measures, although after analyzing the case it was determined that some demonstrations by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador should not be considered prohibited government propaganda during the current period of electoral campaigns.

The above, because they refer to achievements or government actions but rather to critical opinions on political events of the past, from the six-year terms of Ernesto Zedillo and Felipe Calderón.

The Commission ordered the President of the Republic that within a period of no more than six hours, counted from the notification of the agreement, take actions to eliminate or modify the publications that contain the audiovisual and/or stenographic versions of the conference of 12 April, on any official platform.

A final issue to be discussed in this session refers to precautionary measures requested by Morena against the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition and its presidential candidate, Xóchitl Gálvez, for the alleged improper use of the guideline. However, the commission declared a recess that continued until 10 p.m. this Thursday.
