INE orders the President of the Republic to remove two posts from his Facebook account

The Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) declared precautionary measures appropriate against the President of the Republic for the dissemination of two publications on March 5 and 6 on his Facebook account, for being government propaganda, as well as for the dissemination of government actions and achievements during the morning conference on March 7, by the director of Petróleos Mexicanos and the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The collegiate, in a preliminary analysis, estimated that both the Facebook posts by the President of the Republic and the statements by the director of Pemex and the secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development at the “morning” conference deal with government propaganda related to the achievements of the Federal government.
Thus, the President of the Republic was ordered to immediately, within a period that may not exceed 6 hours, carry out the necessary actions, procedures and procedures to eliminate the audio, audiovisual and/or stenographic versions of the morning conference held on March 7 of the current year or modify the aforementioned files so that the demonstrations made by the aforementioned officials are suppressed.
