IndyCar will race at the Dallas Cowboys stadium

IndyCar will return to Texas in 2026 with a street race in Arlington as part of a partnership with the Dallas Cowboys and the official event partner of the Texas Rangers.

The IndyCar Arlington Grand Prix will take place in March 2026 on a 2.73-mile circuit and whose main element will be AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys play, as well as Globe Life Field, home of the Rangers. The track will run through Arlington’s sports entertainment district.

Details of the event will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday and will be attended by IndyCar owner Roger Penske, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Rangers chief operating officer Neil Liebman. Also on hand will be two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Josef Newgarden, three-time IndyCar winner Alex Palou and Baseball Hall of Famer Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez.

“Through a truly incredible and innovative partnership we will build a global spectacle,” Penske said in a statement Monday. “Everyone involved is fully committed to delivering the most incredible and unique weekend event in Arlington.”

The event in Arlington brings IndyCar back to Texas after Texas Motor Speedway removed the race from its schedule this year. IndyCar competed at the Fort Worth oval every year since the series’ debut in 1997.

The Arlington deal is a sign that the relationship between IndyCar and Texas Motor Speedway has surely come to an end.
