Indulge in the Splendors of the Palace of Versailles at a Luxurious London Feast

Those who were impressed and whose dreams were stirred by the reception held at the Palace of Versailles in honor of Britain’s King Charles III will be able to at least taste the dishes prepared for him, during a dinner held in London on Monday, but far from the atmosphere of the luxurious Hall of Mirrors in the historic edifice.

Those interested will not receive a free invitation to the banquet, but will pay 275 pounds sterling, equivalent to 337 dollars (without drinks), in order to enjoy a luxurious feast consisting of lobster, chicken breast, and “macaron” dessert stuffed with berries, prepared by the two famous French chefs, Anne-Sophie Pic. And Yannick Aleno.

The two reproduce the dishes they prepared for the reception that French President Emmanuel Macron hosted last month for the British monarch and his wife Camilla.

The dinner will be held on Monday at the Pavillon, owned by Chef Yannick Alléno, in London.

Anne-Sophie Pic’s appetizer for this replica of a Versailles banquet will be blue marsh lobster with a crab cake, a layer of fresh almonds and a drizzle of mint jelly.

As for the main course, from the hands of Yannick Alléno, it consists of corn-flavored brisket chicken, decorated with porcini mushroom gratin.

For dessert, Chef Pierre Herme relied on his famous Isfahani rose macaron cookies, but reworked them for the occasion, adding raspberries and pink lychee sorbet.

This list was carefully prepared in coordination between the Elysee Palace and Buckingham Palace for the reception that was held on September 20, in the presence of a number of stars such as Mick Jagger, Hugh Grant, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
