Indosat Ooredoo Not Playing with 5G in Indonesia

VIVA – Telecommunication operator Indosat Ooredoo officially launched the first commercial implementation of Segment Routing on IPv6 (SRv6) in Southeast Asia to support service development 5G of Indonesia.

This technology will turn the entire network into automation. Chief Technology and Information Officer Indosat Ooredoo Medhat Elhusseiny said SRv6 will support all corporate, consumer, and other services mobile broadband.

“The demand for services is increasingly diverse, so it demands quite low latency and speed in providing and also demands competitive prices. This is what makes us have to move quickly to answer demands by providing satisfaction to customers,” he said, through a virtual press conference, Monday, June 28, 2021.
