Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Issuer telecommunications services, PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) recorded a net loss attributable to owners of the parent company of Rp 436.15 billion in the first nine months of this year.
This loss was recorded to have increased by 60.75% from the same period in the previous year amounting to Rp 284.59 billion.
This decrease caused the company’s basic loss per share to deepen to Rp 84.19 per share from the previous Rp 52.37 per share.
Referring to the company’s financial statements published Tuesday (3/11/2020), in the first nine months of this year, ISAT’s revenue increased by 8.44% to IDR 20.59 trillion from IDR 18.85 trillion previously.
This revenue was contributed by cellular revenue amounting to Rp 17.03 trillion, an increase from the previous Rp 15.08 trillion. Furthermore, it was supported by multimedia, data communication, internet and fixed telecommunication revenues of Rp. 3.16 trillion and Rp. 395.50 billion, respectively.
Meanwhile, income expenses increased 8.68% to Rp 18.83 trillion from the previous Rp 17.33 trillion. Service provision expenses, depreciation and amortization as well as employee expenses were the largest contributors to the company’s income expenses during January to September.
Not only that, the company also recorded an increase in financial costs to Rp 2.27 trillion from the previous Rp 2 trillion and a foreign exchange loss of Rp 83.31 billion from a previous profit of Rp 20.89 billion.
The company’s total assets as of September reached Rp 61.84 trillion, down from Rp 62.81 trillion previously. These assets consist of liabilities of IDR 48.55 trillion and equity of IDR 13.28 trillion.
