Indosat GIG, Indosat Ooredo’s home internet service will close its service on November 25, 2021. Indosat GIG customers are immediately confused.
On social media timelines, not a few have asked about the certainty of the fate of Indosat GIG, after they received an email notification from the company.
One of them is Putri from Jakarta. He has subscribed to Indosat GIG since April 2021, but he was shocked after receiving information in the form of an email that Indosat GIG would close its service.
“I’m confused about what to do after getting this email from Indosat GIG,” he said softly when contacted by detikINET, Saturday (20/11/2021).
Even though she has only been subscribing for months, Putri feels that the fixed broadband internet service offered by Indosat GIG has a fast and affordable internet connection.
“That’s why I want to replace it, I’m confused, the others are quite expensive. It’s like I really love you Indosat GIG, but the cake was decided unilaterally so it broke my heart,” he said.
On Twitter, there are also many customers who vent, expressing their disappointment over the end of Indosat GIG services.
“Anjir sucks that Indosat GIG goes bankrupt, no wonder the signal continues to be an exclamation point,” said a user.
“Well, suddenly I got an email that Indosat GIG went bankrupt. Even though the internet was never interrupted and it was cheap,” call another.
“Why is this Indosat GIG suddenly bankrupt. Gosh, I’ve been subscribed for 4 years, the network is good and there are rarely any interruptions,” said one user no less surprised.
“Goodbye GIG, thanks for the cheap and stable internet,” said this netizen sadly.
Previously, it was reported that in an open letter sent to its customers, GIG informed that the closure of GIG services was the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the execution of the IM2 corruption case fine of Rp. 1.3 trillion.
“In connection with the above conditions, we are very sorry to inform that the Company can no longer carry out its business activities as a whole no later than November 25, 2021,” wrote GIG.
In this notification letter GIG also at the same time apologize and thank their loyal customers who have supported them so far.
