Three representatives of Indonesia managed to qualify for the final of the tournament badminton Viet Nam International Challenge. The final match will take place on Sunday (26/3).
The three representatives who qualified for the Vietnam International Challenge final were Jafar Hidayatullah/Aisyah Putri Pranata, Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum, and Alfian Eko Prasetya/Ade Yusuf Santoso.
Jafar/Aisyah who were the first seeds succeeded in defeating Kim Young Hyuk/Lee Yu Lim who were the third seeds with a score of 10-21, 21-17, 21-16. Meanwhile, Jesita/Febi, who were not included in the seed list, succeeded in overthrowing the second seeds, Hsieh Pei Shan/Tseng Yu Chi, 21-17, 21-16.
Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles, Alfian Eko Prasetya/Ade Yusuf Santoso managed to overthrow the Malaysian representative, Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap. Alfian/Ade won via rubber game, 21-15, 18-21, 21-16.
In the final round, Jafar/Aisyah will face Tanupat Viriyangkura/Ornnicha Jongsathapornparn.
Meanwhile, Jesita/Febi and Alfian/Ade both met top players from South Korea. Jesita/Febi dueled against eighth seeds Lee Yu Lim/Shin Seung Chan while Alfian/Ade faced third seeds Jin Yong/Na Sung Seung.
One Indonesian representative, Tommy Sugiarto, had to stop in the semifinals. Tommy retired at 5-13 in the decider against Takuma Obayasshi.
