“Indonesia’s Table Tennis Champion, David Jacobs, Passes Away at 45: A Look at His Glittering Career”

KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s mainstay table tennis athlete, David Jacobs (45), was reported dead on Friday (28/4/2023).

Reports of David Jacobs’ death were known through a written statement submitted by the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC).

The statement explained that David Jacobs breathed his last in Jakarta.

“The pride of Indonesia’s table tennis athlete, Dian David Michael Jacobs, died on Friday, April 28, 2023 in Jakarta,” wrote NPC Indonesia in a statement received by KOMPAS.com on Friday (28/4/2023) morning WIB.

“Our deep sorrow for the death of David, a sportsman and Chairman of the DKI Jakarta NPCI. May you be given peace by the side of God Almighty,” said NPC Indonesia’s statement.

Dian David Michael Jacobs or who is familiarly called David Jacobs is a table tennis athlete who was born in Ujung Pandang on June 21, 1977.

David Jacobs has made many achievements as a table tennis athlete. He has won gold medals several times at the PON level to the SEA Games.

In fact, David Jacobs was able to win a bronze medal in the biggest sporting event, the Paralympics.

He managed to bring home bronze medals from the 2012 London Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo.
