The Indonesian contingent won the 68th gold medal SEA Games 2023 thanks to the athlete surprise Lulut Gilang Saputra. This incision is close to the gold target of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
Lulut appears in the Greco Roman 87kg number. He succeeded in becoming the best in the final match which took place at Elephant Hall 1 Morodok Techo National Stadium, Sunday (14/5).
“The 68th gold from Wrestling Men’s Greco Roman 87 kg by Lulut Gilang Saputra,” wrote NOC Indonesia in a written statement.
With gold from wrestling, Indonesia is only one step away from fulfilling President Joko Widodo’s request for a gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games. Jokowi is targeting 69 gold medals at the 32nd edition of the Southeast Asian Games.
Apart from Lulut, wrestling also contributed two other golds in the Greco Roman Putra 63 kg number by Suparmanto. Then Andika Sulaeman also won gold in the Men’s Greco Roman 77kg number.
Then in other sports that competed on Sunday (14/5) until 18.20 WIB, there was a women’s basketball sport that won gold.
Then from Judo also won the highest medal from Dewa Kadek Rama Putra in the men’s 66kg number.
Then in tennis, Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi’s men’s singles also won. Then there was also the Men’s 12 Crew 500 meter Traditional Boat Race sport which won gold.
The weightlifting sport won two gold today from the women’s 55kg number by Juliana Klarisa and the men’s 73kg by Rizki Juniansyah.
