“This (venue) is standard in the United States, if I see it. Earlier we saw the ceiling is high, and I think the LED in the middle is an enchantment. The upper frame is shaped like a sun-star. So this is very cool, cool really,” he said.

He then hopes that the presence of this stadium can revive Indonesian basketball, so that it can go global. “So this will be a new passion for the sports ecosystem in Indonesia. This IMS is not only basketball, it can be used for various events,” said the 32-year-old Menpora.

From monitoring detikSport, IMS or Indonesia Arena is now almost complete. The tribune area has also installed chairs which are planned to have a capacity of 16 thousand people. The field has also been installed.

Even though it looks finished, the stadium, which was built on a land area of ​​31,826 square meters, is not completely finished. Nirmala Dewi said that there were still a number of things that needed resolution. In addition, the handover process between the Ministry of PUPR and GBK has also not been carried out.

“Like the field, there are still a number of empty spots. And we continue to perfect this, while we are waiting for the GBK to complete what the Minister (Dito Ariotedjo) said earlier, royal box, VIP box, interior, because there will be many guests from several countries. “They also sit on top. So it’s more than 90 percent, a little more,” Nirmala stressed.

“For that (handover) internally between the Ministry of PUPR and GBK, yes. We don’t follow it. But for our own schedule, we have locked it and we can use it. That means it’s safe for the FIBA ​​World Cup. That’s why we can use it, we can start tidy up again. Here are some more,” he said.
