Indonesia’s Football Association is partnering withWorkers Social Security Program to provide social security benefits to referees in League 1 and League 2 matches. Referees now get work accident insurance and death compensation from Workers Social Security Program.

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has partnered with the Workers Social Security Program (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) to provide social security to referees who have served in Indonesia’s League 1 and League 2. The President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, handed over membership cards to representatives of referees at the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry headquarters. The move aims to improve the welfare of referees and will provide work accident insurance and death compensation to help support referees’ families. PSSI and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will also work together to ensure all sports actors, including players, supporters, and officials from associations, leagues, and clubs will be protected by the worker’s social security program in the future. This collaboration is expected to improve the welfare of referees and other workers in the PSSI’s ecosystem and contribute to improving the quality of Indonesian football.
