Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Indonesian economy in 2021 will indeed grow positively, an achievement that deserves appreciation. Moreover, the previous year the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted or grew negatively.
On Monday (7/2/2022), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the Indonesian economy as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 3.69% in 2021. Better than 2020, which was -2.07%.
The value of GDP in 2021 is recorded at IDR 16,970.8 trillion. This indicates that the country’s economy has exceeded the pre-pandemic period of the corona virus.Coronavirus Disease-2019/Covid-19).
With a GDP of that size, the per capita becomes Rp 62.2 million. In United States (US) dollars, the value is US$ 4,349.5.
For information, the value of Indonesia’s GDP in 2019, before the corona virus pandemic, was Rp. 15,833.9 trillion. At that time, GDP per capita was IDR 59.1 million (US$ 4,174.9).
In terms of expenditure, economic growth is still contributed by two main sources, namely household consumption and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) or investment. Both accounted for 85.23% in GDP formation.
Throughout 2021, household consumption will grow by 2.02%. Improved compared to 2020 which was -2.63%.
Meanwhile PMTB grew 3.8%. Improved compared to 2020 which was -4.96%.
