BWF World Championship 2023 aka Badminton World Championships entered the semifinals on Saturday (16/8) afternoon WIB. The match was held at the Royal Arena, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Indonesia left one representative, namely the women’s doubles, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, they faced South Korean representatives, Kim So Yeong/Kong Hee Yong who were the third seeds.

Apri/Fadia won the first game 21-9 and 22-20. They advance to the finals!
The course of the match
The first game starts, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti take the momentum first. They could lead 7-3 with quick play.
A long rally ensued. Apri/Fadia faced Kim/Kong’s tight resistance. Kong failed to observe Fadia’s punch, who thought it was out and it was in, Apri’s jump smash also made it difficult for his opponent. Apri/Fadia lead 11-5.
Kim/Kong, who try to catch up, end up making their own mistakes. Fadia’s block near the net made the Indonesian pair start to take a long lead 14-5.
