Indonesia is now 2-0 ahead of Canada in Sudirman Cup 2023. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting win 21-17 & 21-16 over Brian Yang.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting faced Brian Yang in the second Indonesia vs Canada match at the 2023 Sudirman Cup, Monday (15/5/2023) morning WIB. Ginting started the match at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center slowly, with a number of punches coming out.

That left Brian Yang opening with a 5-1 lead. However, Ginting then responded with seven consecutive points, which more or less indicated that his body was ‘hot’. The Indonesian men’s singles closed the interval winning 11-9.

After the restart, Ginting took off by winning eight points in a row! But Brian responded with five straight points to make it 14-17, which Ginting finally stopped with a drop shot.

Ginting reached the point game at 20-14 and Brian added three points. The first game in this match belonged to Indonesia after Briang hit the net, ensuring Ginting won 21-17.

Ginting started to gain momentum after picking up two points to take a 15-13 lead over Brian. He then widened the gap to 19-14, and finally locked in a 21-16 victory after Brian’s punch came out.

Indonesia is now winning 2-0 over Canada. Previously Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah presented the first point and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will appear in the third match against Talia Ng.
