“Indonesian Young Players Get Motivation from Legends Roberto Carlos, Materazzi, Veron, Abidal, and Karagounis”

PSSI bring Robert Carlos, Marco Materazzi, Juan Sebastian Verón, Eric Abidal, and Giorgos Karagounis. They gave motivation to young Indonesian players.

Five legends from various countries come to Indonesia. They are Roberto Carlos (Brazil), Marco Materazzi (Italy), Juan Sebastian Veron (Argentina), Eric Abidal (France), and Giorgos Karagounis (Greece).

These five legends came at the invitation of the general chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir. They will provide training to young Indonesian players in a series of events titled BRIMO: Future Garuda which will take place on May 29-June 2023.

Carlos, Materazzi, Veron, Abidal and Karagounis provided training and motivation to young Indonesian players at the BRI BRILiaN Stadium on Tuesday (30/5). During session coaching clinic 4 Indonesian legends who are now coaches, Ilham Romadhona, Bima Sakti, Firmansyah, and Indriyanto Nugroho also attended.

Carlos, Materazzi, Veron, Abidal and Karagounis also contributed to injecting motivation into the young players. They tell the story of how to start a career in football.

“I came to provide special training for future footballers,” Materazzi said as quoted from the PSSI website.

Erick Thohir hopes that the advice from these legends can strengthen the mentality of competing young Indonesian players. He wants young players not to be easily intimidated by every opponent

“With lots of interactions with football legends, the Indonesian national team players no longer need to tremble when facing any tough opponent. This has been proven when Indonesia won the SEA Games in Cambodia,” he said.
