Putri Kusuma Wardani vs He Bing Jiao took place at Binjiang Gymnasium, Hangzhou, presented in the third match of the quarter-finals on Friday (29/9/2023) morning WIB. Putri KW fell with a score of 15-21, 19-21.
The match was tight at the start. The two players repeatedly take turns taking the lead.
This duel relies more on lob shots, which are then followed by smashes. Putri’s return of the shuttlecock allowed He Bing Jiao to smash to lead 9-7.
However, He Bing Jiao made two mistakes by attempting to change to net play and returning the shuttlecock that came out. This made Putri able to equalize the score 9-9.
Putri failed to take the momentum to take the lead. He failed to deal with the opponent’s shuttle return, which left the 21-year-old trailing 9-11 at the interval.
After the break, Putri could not overcome the game from the hosts. He Bing Jiao was finally able to win the first game with a score of 21-15.
Putri started the second game well after being able to lead by three points. The situation changed approaching the interval with He Bing Jiao taking the lead 11-10.
Putri failed to turn things around after the break even though she almost took the lead approaching the critical point. The return of the shuttlecock which got caught in the net made him lose 19-21.
This result resulted in the Indonesian team team being eliminated with a 0-3 defeat. Previously, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti also lost.
