Indonesian Volleyball Player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi Ranks Seventh in South Korean League Top Scorers

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi entered the top seven in the list of top scorers in the South Korean volleyball league after bringing Daejeon Jung KwanJang Red Sparks win over Hwaseong IBK Altos, Thursday (18/1).

Megawati’s points tally stalled throughout the first to fifth matches in the fourth round of the South Korean volleyball league. Megawati always only managed to get under 20 points.

The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team player rose in the closing match of the fourth round when the Red Sparks visited IBK Altos headquarters.

Megawati performed brilliantly in the match against IBK Altos. The majority of Megawati’s spikes could not be suppressed by opponents. Megawati’s average successful attack reached 64.7 percent. The player who competed in the Thai volleyball league scored 24 points.

An additional 24 points in the match against IBK Altos means that Megawati has now collected 504 points and is now in seventh position in the list of top scorers in the Korean volleyball league.

Megawati is five points away from Hillstate mainstay Laetitia Moma Bassoko who is ranked sixth. Meanwhile, her distance from eighth place, Yelena Mladenovic, is only three points.

Meanwhile, another Red Sparks player who entered the top 10 in the Korean volleyball league’s top scorers was Giovanna Milana with 438 points and finished ninth.

Gyselle Silva from GS Caltex is the player with the most points this season. The player from Cuba has scored 701 points. Meanwhile, second place is occupied by Brittany Abercrombie, who is the mainstay of IBK Altos.
