Jakarta, CNNIndonesia —
Victory over the Philippines in the second match SEA V League 2023 series 2 is meaningless Indonesian volleyball national team appear flawless.
It’s like there is no ivory that is not cracked, that is what describes the Indonesian volleyball team in the SEA V League 2023 event this time.
There is still a glaring weakness behind Indonesia’s victories in Santa Rosa, Philippines. Farhan Halim and friends are not really 100 percent perfect. Assistant coach Erwin Rusni sees that there are still potential weaknesses in Indonesia.
“Quite satisfied with today’s game [melawan Filipina] although there are still several errors, especially the service,” explained Erwin in a written message.
Indonesian players still make mistakes so that the opponent gets points for free. In the match against the Philippines there were 22 errors. This number is more than the mistakes made by the Philippines, which totaled 16, but the Indonesian volleyball team was able to cover it up with a slick performance and won points in return.
The errors made by the Indonesian volleyball team against the Philippines decreased compared to when they met Vietnam in the first match of the SEA V League 2023 series 2. In the match that took place on Friday (28/7), the Red and White team made 28 errors.
When compared to the matches against Vietnam and the Philippines, the number of Indonesian errors decreased. This, Erwin said, could not be separated from the players’ conditions which were starting to improve due to the match schedule of the 2023 Asian Volleyball Challenge (AVC) Cup, SEA V League 2023 series 1 and series 2.
“Friends themselves, the condition is starting to improve little by little because maybe the condition factor is also quite busy with a busy schedule,” said Erwin.
Indonesia still has one more match left in SEA V League 2023 series 2, namely against Thailand on Sunday (30/7), which previously won over the Philippines and lost to Vietnam.
