The Indonesian Volleyball National Team managed to beat Thailand with a score of 3-0 to take ninth place at the Asian Volleyball Championship, Saturday (26/8).
Indonesia managed to start the match against Thailand well. They managed to look better and won the first set with a score of 25-21.
The victory in the first set had a positive impact on the Indonesian Volleyball Team. Entering the second set, Indonesia again made a good start.
Farhan Halim and his friends were able to lead three points at 6-3. But after that Thailand got up and managed to even the score at 11-11.
Thailand was in control of the lead 12-11 after their blocks managed to produce points. After turning ahead, Thailand continued to lead for a while.
Indonesia had turned around to lead 19-18 but then Thailand returned to lead 22-21. Smes the Thai players who came out made the position equal, 22-22.
Blocks from Indonesian players then made the Indonesian Volleyball Team lead 23-22. Indonesia then won a set point at 24-23. The poor reception from the Thai players made Indonesia close the second set with a 25-23 victory.
Entering the third set, Indonesia and Thailand fought again in a tight match. The two teams took turns winning and the score was tied at 14-14.
Indonesia’s better attack and defense then made the Indonesian Volleyball Team have a two-point difference at 18-16. After a time out, the Indonesian Volleyball National Team won three additional points and widened the point difference to 21-16.
The Indonesian Volleyball National Team then won a match point at 24-19. Thailand had thwarted two match points but Indonesia finally made sure to come out victorious after Thailand’s service failed.
The score was 25-21 for Indonesia in the third set and closed the match with a 3-0 victory.
