WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – PSSI still has plans of summoning descent players to strengthen U-19 national team Indonesia.

Currently, PSSI continues to record and monitor Indonesian-blooded players who are competing abroad.

The desire to call players of Indonesian descent abroad is also expected by the manager of the Timmas Indonesia coach, Shin Tae-yong.

The South Korean coach hopes that his descent players can improve the quality of his team when competing at the international level.

PSSI Technical Director, Indra Sjafri, did not deny that his party was monitoring several descendants of players who were competing abroad.

Currently, only two players of Indonesian descent have joined U-19 national team namely Elkan Baggott (Ipswich Town) and Jack Brown (Lincoln City).

Indra explained that the player of descent who will be called must of course have an Indonesian passport or lineage.

Shin Tae-yong is not interested in using foreign players from Brazil in the U-19 national team

“We are looking for descent players, who already have an Indonesian passport,” he said Indra Sjafri when met at the Madya Stadium, Jakarta.

However, PSSI does not merely call players of ordinary descent.
