“The plan for the U-17 Indonesian National Team is to leave for Germany on September 16,” said PSSI General Chair (Ketum), Erick Thohir, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/9).
The number of players who will be brought to Germany, said Erick Thohir, has not yet been decided. However, the estimate is around 28 to 34 personnel.
“It depends on what the conditions are like. Of course, we don’t want to talk about injuries, but humans can get injured,” he said.
“So, it will depend on the condition of the players,” added the man who also serves as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

“In Germany, there are two test matches against national teams from other countries, then the Bundesliga is preparing four additional matches,” said Erick Thohir.
“I thank the German League, DFB (German Football Federation), they have prepared facilities in Dortmund. One of the best clubs in Germany,” he added.
The 2023 U-17 World Cup will be held in Indonesia starting November 10 and ending on December 2 2023. The championship will be held in four cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Solo and Surabaya.
