Navy warships, KRI Sembilang-850 managed to evacuate a boy who was swimming in the middle of the sea on Laki Island, Thousand Islands, Jakarta. The boy is believed to have fallen from the ship.
“Navy warships” KRI Sembilang-850 while carrying out a routine patrol around the waters of Northwest P. Laki saw visual contact in the bow of the left hull with a distance of approximately 100 meters of floating objects. After being approached, there was a small child swimming in the middle of the sea alone,” said the Indonesian Navy via its official Instagram account, Saturday (19/6/2021).
Seeing the boy, KRI Sembilang-850 carried out assistance using a lifeboat. The Indonesian Navy said the boy was suspected of falling from the ship.
“Furthermore, KRI Sembilang-850 used a lifeboat to assist a child who was swimming alone in the middle of the sea who was suspected to have fallen from the ship,” he said.
The boy was finally rescued. The victim is in good health.
“The child was successfully evacuated to the KRI. The condition of the victim is in good and healthy condition,” he explained.
After the deepening, the TNI AL called a boy named RI (14). Original student of Pulau Harapan, Kepulauan Seribu.
“Furthermore, the victim was taken and handed over to the Untung Jawa Posal and received by the Untung Jawa Danposal Serka Bah Sukirman,” he said.
