Monday, January 22 2024 – 18:10 WIB

Jakarta – Jordi Amat had to be withdrawn when the Indonesian national team played in the 2023 Asian Cup Group D match against the Vietnam National Team, Friday evening WIB 19 January 2024. He suffered a broken nose due to being hit by an opponent’s elbow.

Jordi Amat’s injury has made Indonesian national team supporters worried. They are worried that the defender from the Johor Darul Ta’zim club will not be able to play against the Japanese national team.

Japan vs Indonesia will be held on Wednesday evening WIB 24 January 2024. Jordi Amat does not want to miss this match and is trying to fight the injury he is experiencing.

“Yes, I have a small fracture next to my nose, I think just 2 days of rest is enough for healing and I hope I can play with a mask to protect my face,” said Amat, quoted from the Kita Garuda page.

“It’s uncomfortable because it hurts but I hope the inflammation goes away in a few days,” added the 31-year-old player.

Amat has played two matches with Indonesia in the 2023 Asian Cup. Once he lost 1-3 to the Iraqi National Team, then won 1-0 over Vietnam.

The naturalized player said the team showed good playing character during the match. All that remains is for them to continue the same enthusiasm to face Japan.

“We showed character and spirit in the match. Playing against Iraq was a big test, now you see how good they are and we competed against them,” he said.

“So now it’s time to recover, also myself and then let’s fight against Japan,” added Jordi Amat.
