Jakarta, TOURISM – The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong (STY) was praised by the international media after leading the Garuda squad to a 1-0 win over Vietnam on the second matchday of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup, last Friday (19/1/2024).
Initially, the Indonesian national team was underestimated before meeting Vietnam.
This is because the score of 1-3 against Iraq on the first matchday, plus the comparison regarding FIFA rankings, are a number of reasons the Red and White team is underestimated.
However, the Indonesian National Team silenced all these doubts.
Indonesia managed to get three points thanks to Asnawi Mangkualam’s single goal from the penalty spot.
