Indonesian Mixed Recurve Archery Team Wins Bronze Medal at Asian Games 2022

The Indonesian mixed recurve archery team won a bronze medal Asian Games 2022 (2023) di Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre, Rabu (4/10).

The team recurve archery team consisting of Diananda Choirunissa and Riau Ega Agata Salsabilla have successfully passed the first round by defeating representatives from Mongolia on Monday (2/10).

Diananda and Ega continued their medal hunt on Wednesday (4/10) by meeting India in the quarter-finals. The Indian archers put on a pretty good performance, but Diananda and Ega also performed no less heroic.

Having fallen behind twice, Diananda and Ega always managed to equalize. The two top Indonesian athletes secured victory in the deciding round and scored 5-4.

In the semifinals, Indonesia met strong opponent South Korea. Lim Sihyeon and Lee Wooseok show truly proven qualities. Diananda and Ega could only steal victory in the third set. Indonesia lost 2-6.

Losing in the semifinals, Diananda and Ega were still competing for the bronze medal. The athlete, who has Olympic experience, scored a 6-2 victory over Iran.

Meanwhile, in the final match, Korea won 6-0 over Japan and won a gold medal.

Now the Red and White team is in 12th position with six gold, six silver and 15 bronze medals.
