“Indonesian Minister of Defence Prabowo Subianto Visits Horse Race Track in West Sumatra”

Indonesian Minister of Defence Prabowo Subianto around the Dang Tuanku Bukit Gombak Horse Race Track, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), using the Pindad Maung car. Shouts of ‘Prabowo President’ also accompanied the arrival of the General Chair of the Gerindra Party.

Prabowo rode around on the 4×4 modular short-range combat light combat tactical vehicle produced by PT Pindad. Prabowo seemed to greet residents from above the ‘maung’. screams’Prabowo’ and ‘Prabowo President’ immediately echoed from all sides of the stadium.

“Thank you for the very lively and warm welcome from the people of West Sumatra. Hopefully I can return to West Sumatra, which is like my own hometown,” said Prabowo, who boarded the Pindad Maung with Member of the Republic of Indonesia DPR from W Sumatra Andre Rosiade and Tanah Datar Regent Eka Putra, through a written statement, Sunday (30/4/2023).

Prabowo said the horse racing event which is often held every year in Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, is entertainment for the people. He hopes that the local government of Tanah Datar and stakeholders in Tanah Datar and West Sumatra can continue to preserve the event that the community has been waiting for.

“I was often on this field when I was little. I was five years old. It’s the same as coming back to my hometown. It feels like coming here. West Sumatra is like a second hometown for me. Thank you, I’m welcome here,” said Prabowo.

Witnessing his chairmanship received an extraordinary welcome from residents, a member of the DPR RI from West Sumatra, Andre Rosiade, admitted that he had tears in his eyes. According to him, Prabowo remains the leader of hope for the people of West Sumatra.

“Thank God, Pak Prabowo is still warmly welcomed in W Sumatra. The proof is that in Tanah Datar, tens of thousands of people are waiting for and hailing Prabowo as President,” said the chairman of the W Sumatra Gerindra Party DPD.

Chairman of the W Sumatra Pordasi, Deri Asta, expressed appreciation and pride from all West Sumatra residents and horsemen for Prabowo’s arrival. According to Deri, this is evidence of Prabowo’s attention to equestrian sports.

“Attended by the Minister of Defense Prabowo and Pak Yusril made this event special. Showed evidence of attention to equestrian sports. The Minister of Defense is a person who enjoys riding. This will add to our enthusiasm for equestrian sports. Hopefully someone can help and work together,” he said.

Meanwhile, Regent Eka Putra said that this horse race is an annual routine agenda carried out in Tanah Datar Regency.

“This year’s event is different, because it was attended by Pak Prabowo. Therefore, we did it even better yesterday. So that when our guests come it looks better. That means, even though this is a routine activity this time the preparation is different from usual,” explained the Regent.

For information, this activity is the closing of the visit Prabowo to West Sumatra. From the Dang Tuanku Bukit Gombak Horse Race Track, Prabowo went straight to the Gumarang Tanah Datar Stadium to board a helicopter to Minangkabau International Airport (BIM).
