Indonesian Men’s Singles Still Not Scary in Sudirman Cup

Indonesia succeeded in meeting the initial target in Sudirman Cup 2021 namely qualify as group winners. However, the appearance of the Indonesian men’s singles has not been convincing.

Indonesia qualified as group winners after winning over Denmark with a score of 3-2. The victory completes Indonesia’s success in the previous match when it beat Russia with a score of 5-0 and won 3-2 over Canada.

Behind this success, one thing that deserves attention is the appearance of the men’s singles number. Anthony Ginting and Jonathan Christie have not shown the best level of their performances.

Ginting lost the match against Anders Antonsen, Wednesday (29/9). In a duel of top players, win and lose are like two sides of a coin. But in that match, Ginting could not bring out all the best potential that was in him.
