SINGAPORE, iNews.id – Singapore relaxes entry rules for foreign travelers from five countries, including Indonesia. A visitor who has already received two doses Covid-19 vaccine no need quarantine again upon arrival in Singapore or called the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme.
Singapore’s Minister of Transportation S Iswaran said the easing for travelers from Indonesia and India took effect from November 29, while for travelers from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, it was effective December 6.
He emphasized that all countries receiving easing were an important goal. For example, India contributed about 7 percent of passenger arrivals at Changi Airport in 2019.
The five countries, continued Iswaran, are in Category II risk classification Covid-19 according to the Ministry of Health. Countries that are classified as Category II means that their Covid-19 cases are the same or lower than Singapore.
He hoped this easing could increase the arrival of foreign tourists starting early next month.
Further details regarding the VTL scheme for the five countries will be announced soon.
