Indonesia’s Job Creation Law has been ratified and welcomed by Arsjad Rasjid, Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Rasjid believes that drawing larger investments will help create more job opportunities and reduce poverty. Economist Rosdiana Sijabat states that the law will address Indonesia’s low rank in the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Index by establishing a favorable climate for foreign investors. Law expert Nindyo Pramono affirmed that the law will also improve Indonesia’s ranking in the EODB index by accommodating the need for economic growth and investment flows in the country. The Job Creation Law is expected to present legal certainty to potential investors and generate vast job opportunities, leading to economic growth and reduced poverty rates.
