JUARA.NET – The Indonesian badminton team succeeded in sending 7 representatives to the quarter-finals of the 2023 French Open.
Competing on Thursday (26/10/2023), a number of Indonesian representatives succeeded in reaping positive results in the second round of the 2023 French Open.
In the second round of matches, Indonesia opened the day with two wins in the first match won by the women’s doubles pair, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and the men’s doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
Apri/Fadia, who fought on field one, managed to send home Malaysia’s representatives, Vivian Hoo/Lim Chiew Sin through a fairly tense two-game battle.
Meanwhile on the other side of the field, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto made Denmark’s representatives, Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard fall in two straight games with twin scores of 21-12,21-12.
Similar positive results were also obtained by other men’s doubles representatives such as the pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana.
The Fikri/Bagas duo is known to have succeeded in defeating Japan’s top representatives, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi in a fierce two-game battle.

Indonesian senior men’s doubles also won, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan.
