The Indonesian Ambassador to Italy, Muhammad Prakosa passed away in Rome, Italy. PDIP feels lost and mourns the death of M Prakosa.
“We have truly lost and are so saddened by the news of this condolence. We have lost a figure who was humble, honest, and became an example for all levels of the party,” said PDI Perjuangan DPP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in a written statement, Tuesday (17/1/2023).
Hasto recalled M Prakosa’s services as a PDIP cadre. He saw M Prakosa as a party cadre who was dedicated and loyal to the PDIP and PDIP Ketum Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“We all pray to God the Most Merciful, so that the late Mr. Ambassador Prakosa will have his way smooth, be forgiven for all his sins, and get the best place at His side. His entire struggle has truly proven a loyal, dedicated, and loyal cadre to Mother Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDI Perjuangan. We also pray for the families left behind, hopefully they will receive strength and consolation,” he said.
Hasto also conveyed the sad news of M Prakosa’s death to Megawati. Hasto said Megawati was very sad after receiving the news that M Prakosa had died.
“He (Megawati) was also very sad. It was unexpected that the sad news would come this quickly, considering that this afternoon, Megawati had just discussed Pak Prakosa while showing a Saninten tree as a memento of Pak Prakosa which grew so abundantly in his yard in Bali. “Ms Megawati immediately gave directions so that all Party ranks pay the best respect to the late Pak Prakosa, and the Party pays special respect according to Party protocol,” he said.
PDIP assigned Utut Adianto to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Menseskab regarding the plan to return M Prakosa’s body to the country. Meanwhile, Ahmad Basarah was also assigned to coordinate with M Prakosa’s family regarding all plans for M Prakosa’s funeral.
“Furthermore, the Party will provide full support to the completion of the entire series of funerals for the deceased according to Party protocol,” he added.

The news of the death of M Prakosa was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Teuku Faizasyah. He said M Prakosa died at 10.55 Italian time.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un, has returned to Rahmatullah, Mr. Ambassador Muhammad Prakosa on January 17, 2022, at 10.55 WS in Rome, Italy,” Faizasyah told reporters, Tuesday (17/1).
“With prayers, may the late Husnul Khotimah be accepted by His side, and the families left behind will be given fortitude and sincerity. Amen YRA,” he added.
