Indonesian Actor Iqbal Pakula Dies at the Age of 46: News and Reactions

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian entertainment world is grieving again. This time, actor Iqbal Pakula died on Tuesday (25/4/2023), at the age of 46.

The sad news was informed by Hedi Yunus.

Hedi Yunus said that Iqbal breathed his last at the Siloam Semanggi Hospital at 02.30 WIB.

“Innalillahi wa innailaihi roji’un… My friend, my beloved sister @iqbalpakula21 passed away peacefully at around 02.30 WIB at Siloam Hospital Semanggi Jakarta,” wrote Hedi Yunus on his Instagram, Tuesday (25/4/2023).

Hedi Yunus also uploaded a video showing recordings of monitoring cardiac function and Iqbal Pakula’s vital signs from a patient monitoring device which continued to decline.

In his upload statement, Hedi Yunus expressed his gratitude because he had the opportunity to accompany Iqbal until his final seconds.

“O Allah… thank you for giving me the opportunity to accompany the deceased to the end of his life by continuously saying Allahu Akbar,” continued Hedi Yunus.

Witnessing the departure of his best friend, this member of the Kahitna group ensured that Iqbal Pakula died very peacefully.

“I testify with my own eyes, God willing @iqbalpakula21 husnul khotimah. His death was very calm. Aamiin Yaa Rabbal Alamin,” said Hedi Yunus.

Hedi Yunus’s upload was immediately flooded with comments from celebrities who expressed their condolences.

“Innalilahi wa Innailaihi roji’un… I regret not having the chance to visit. Thanks for the info, bro @hedi_yunus,” wrote Irgi Ahmad Fachrezi.

“O Allah, I hope that Husnul Khatimah will be well… God willing, the month of Shawwal is a good month, Allah will prepare the best place,” wrote Meisya Siregar.

“Innallilahi wa inna lilahi rojiun,” tulis Irfan Hakim.
