Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Indonesia national team will not be strengthened by Justin Hubner, Jordi Amat, and Elkan Baggott when they meet Saudi Arabia in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, September 5.
These three players are absent for various reasons. Justin was hit with a card collecting sanction, Jordi Amat was hampered by injury, and Baggott was not called up again by coach Shin Tae Yong.
Justin is still absent as he received two yellow cards against Vietnam and the Philippines. For Jordi Amat and Baggott, STY confirmed that these two players were not included in the team at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (23/8).

“Jordi has a little problem. So during a match in the Malaysian league, Jordi got injured and he still hasn’t recovered. So he has to rest for the next four weeks. I have Jordi called and it was decided that there will be another one,” said Jane.
“[Baggott] it was not considered at all,” STY repeated.
STY’s decision not to call up Baggott meant that the on-loan player at Blackpool was once again forgotten. Baggott has not been asked to strengthen the Indonesian national team from serving Australia in the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.
Without these names, the options at the core of protection will automatically narrow. Practically only Jay Idzes and Rizky Risho regularly fill the main team of the Garuda team.
It is possible that players such as Sandy Walsh and Nathan Tjoe-A-On will have the ability to be played as other central defenders. Sandy was designed as a central defender when he appeared in the 2023 Asian Cup and Nathan when he played for the Indonesian U-23 National Team in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
