The 22nd edition of the World Cup will take place in Qatar, from November 20 to December 18. For the first time, the great football party was held in winter and in the Middle East region.
Qatar’s selection process to host the 2022 World Cup is fraught with drama. The tournament, which was the last edition to bring together 32 countries, before becoming 48 countries at the 2026 World Cup, has many stories.
Among them was Indonesia’s withdrawal from the bidding process, to the corruption issue that colored Qatar’s elections to win the status of hosting the 2022 World Cup.
