“Indonesia Wins 70 Gold Medals in SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia: President Joko Widodo’s Request Fulfilled”

Indonesia has won 70 gold medals in SEA Games 2023 Cambodia. The achievements of the Merah Putih contingent have fulfilled President Joko Widodo’s request.

On Sunday (14/5/2023), the Indonesian contingent harvested gold. A total of 12 gold can be obtained by Indonesian athletes.

Success achieved from various branches. Starting from the women’s national basketball team, judo, tennis, traditional boat race, weightlifting, wrestling, fin swimming, and finally E-Sport.

The 70th gold medal was donated by the e-Sport branch through the PUBG Mobile match. The PUBG Indonesia 2 team defeated Vietnam in the gold medal match SEA Games 2023 Cambodia.

This result makes Indonesia has collected 70 gold medals in SEA Games 2023 Cambodia, fulfilling President Joko Widodo’s request. Previously, Indonesian athletes were asked to win more gold than they did in Vietnam two years ago, when they won 69 gold medals.

A total of 70 gold medals has made Indonesia comfortable in third place in the 2023 SEA Games medal standings. Indonesia only lost to Vietnam (107 gold) and Thailand (91 gold), and ahead of hosts Cambodia, who have only collected 65 gold.
