Indonesia Stadium witnessed the tragedy that shook the world on the first of this month. As the spectators were about to leave the stadium, there was a rush. The investigation report released last week stated that police used tear gas to disperse people and caused the accident. Fifa has banned the use of tear gas on spectators. Criminal charges were brought against six people in the incident, including police officers.
There were many other allegations in the investigation report, such as allowing more people in the stadium, blocking exits, changing the game at night to increase television ratings.
