Indonesian fighters can penetrate the top 10 of the standings Asian Games 2023 if you win several medals on Wednesday (4/10). Following are the 2023 Asian Games standings Wednesday morning.
The Red and White Team is still enthusiastic about adding to its 2023 Asian Games medal purse. On Tuesday (3/10), which was the 10th day of the 2023 Asian Games, Indonesia added two medals through weightlifting and rock climbing.
The additional medal shifted Indonesia’s position to 12th in the Asian Games medal standings. Currently, Indonesia has collected a total of 13 medals: 6 gold, 3 silver and 13 bronze.
Above Indonesia is Iran with a total of 30 medals, winning 6 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze. Meanwhile, under Indonesia, Kazakhstan, has 47 medals: 5 gold, 10 silver, 32 bronze.
On the 11th day of the 2023 Asian Games, Wednesday (4/10), Indonesia again placed a number of representatives in the final round, such as three athletic events, two sepak takraw events and one cycling event.
Apart from that, there are also branches that have the potential to qualify for the final and win medals by starting the competition from qualifying. Speed relay rock climbing is one of the branches that can add to the medal.
There are also two dragon boat events, men’s and women’s 200 meters. The dragon boat is the favorite to win a gold medal for Indonesia at the 2023 Asian Games.
If Indonesia can win at least one or two gold medals today, it is not impossible for the Red and White team to rise again, even breaking into the top 10 of the medal standings.
Indonesia can displace Hong Kong which is currently in 10th place with 6 gold, 15 silver, 24 bronze. Indonesia’s opportunity to enter the top 10 is open, provided that Hong Kong and Iran do not add gold medals today.
Being in the top 10 of the 2023 Asian Games standings is the target requested by President Joko Widodo for the Indonesian contingent. Jokowi believes the Red and White Team has the opportunity to achieve this target
