Tens of thousands of spectators sang the national anthem Indonesia Raya before MotoGP Mandalika 2022Sunday (20/3), creating an extraordinary atmosphere that makes goosebumps.
After being delayed because of the heavy rain that fell in Mandalika Circuitthe Mandalika MotoGP race was finally decided to start at 16:15 WITA.
The ceremonial procession before the Mandalika MotoGP race began at 15:50 WITA. After opening with a marching band from members of the TNI, a singer then sang the national anthem Indonesia Raya.
Suddenly tens of thousands of spectators at the Mandalika Circuit, from VIP ticket holders to those in the stands grandstand, joined in singing Indonesia Raya. A situation that makes goosebumps goosebumps.
After 25 years that Indonesia has not held a MotoGP race, the Mandalika Circuit has finally become a place where tens of thousands of MotoGP fans can return to see the race in person.
After the ceremony was over, the Mandalika MotoGP race was held in wet track conditions.
KTM’s Miguel Oliveira won the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP after defeating Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco.
After the race, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) handed over the trophy to Oliveira, Quartararo, and Zarco on the Mandalika MotoGP podium after the race.
