Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Shin Tae Yong get a bonus of 2,500 dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 35 million from PSSI for bringing Indonesian National team pass to Asian Cup Qualification 2023.
In addition to qualifying, Indonesia’s ranking in FIFA also jumped. Thanks to two wins against Taiwan, Indonesia’s position from 175th to 165th. The game of Garuda Merah Putih is also considered to be increasing.
“Everyone showed an increase in ability, performance, skill, and strategy. I’m so proud that I’m so expressive. I see [Taiwan] crushed by you guys, I jumped up and down. It means I’m just like that, let alone the people,” said PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan.
“This is something to be proud of for us. I ask for it like this: play without a burden against Taiwan. If it is compact, accurate passing, I am sure we will be able to talk in the AFF Cup later,” he added.
The bonus was given by PSSI to Shin in the event of the release of the Indonesian national team to Turkey. The gift was carried out symbolically through Deputy Chairman Iwan Budianto at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta on Thursday (11/11) afternoon.
Not only Shin, the assistant coaches of the Indonesian national team also received a bonus of 1,750 dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 25 million. The bonus award was represented by Choi In Choel.

PSSI will do the same if the Indonesian national team wins the 2020 AFF Cup (2021). However, Iriawan did not mention the amount of the bonus he had prepared. He only said that PSSI would not turn a blind eye to the hard work of Shin and his team.
In the release ceremony, Iriawan once again emphasized that the target of the Indonesian national team was to win. Iriawan asked for revenge for the defeat at the 2019 SEA Games when he met Vietnam in the final.
