Indonesia overtakes Myanmar, two points adrift of Vietnam-Thailand

KOMPAS.com – U19 National Team Indonesia rose one place to third position shifting Myanmar in AFF U19 Cup Group A standings 2022.

Certainty was obtained after Indonesia U19 National Team managed to beat the Philippines.

Competing at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Friday (8/7/2022) evening WIB, Indonesia won 5-1 over the Philippines.

The winning goals for Garuda Nusantara were scored by Rabbani Tasnim (14′, 41′, 49′), Alfriyanto Nico (26′) and Razzaa Fachrezi (70′).

Meanwhile, the only Filipino goal was recorded by Justin Lawrence in the 28th minute.

That way, the Indonesian U19 national team shifted Myanmar, which was previously ranked third.

Before Indonesia competed, Myanmar first appeared in the afternoon. The result they lost 1-3 to Vietnam.

These results make Myanmar still in third place with six points held.

However, Myanmar is only temporarily in third place after Indonesia won 5-1 over the Philippines.

The Indonesian U19 national team made by Shin Tae-yong is now two points adrift of Vietnam and Thailand, who both have 10 points.

However, Vietnam U19 has the right to be at the top of the standings thanks to the aggressiveness of goals against Thailand.
