Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto advance to the quarterfinals Indonesia Open 2022 after winning the ‘civil war’ against Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana with a score of 21-10, 10-21, 21-15.
Playing at Istora Senayan, Thursday (16/6/2022), Fajar/Rian appeared more dominant in the first game. The Indonesia Masters 2022 champion has never been in a position to fall behind at all.
After successfully closing the interval with an 11-4 advantage, FajRi, as they are called, managed to lock the victory with a landslide score of 21-10. However, the situation reversed in the second game, where Fikri/Bagas managed to retaliate.
After the point chase lasted until 5-5, Fikri/Bagas slowly left their senior point acquisition. Starting from winning 11-7, then securing the second game with a score of 21-10.
In the decisive game, Fajar/Rian took control again. After the 1-1 score, FajRi continued to excel until closing the interval with a score of 11-4. After the pause, FajRi’s steps became more and more unstoppable. Even though Fikri/Bagas had time to put up a fight, Fajar/Rian in the end still won 21-15.
In the quarter-finals tomorrow, Friday (16/6/2022), Fajar/Rian will meet representatives of China, Liu Yu Chen/Ou Xuan Yi.
