Eramuslim.com – Efforts to prevent import cases from Indonesia have become the attitude taken by a number of countries at a time when the spike in Covid-19 cases in the country is crazy.
As of this Wednesday (14/7), the daily number of positive Covid-19 cases has reached 54,517 people. This figure is higher than the last record recorded last Tuesday (13/7) as many as 47,899 people.
Thus, due to the latest addition of cases today, the total positive cases in Indonesia have reached 2,670,046 people. While the number of recovered cases only increased by 17,762 people, and the total is now 2,157,363 people.
Several countries have taken a stand since two days ago, Monday (12/7), when the daily number of positive Covid-19 cases increased by 40,427 people, and the total stood at 2,567,630 positive cases.
There were six countries which at that time declared themselves to close their international borders for the arrival of airplane passengers from Indonesia. Among them, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, European countries and Hong Kong.
Today, the Philippine government announced a ban on arrivals from Indonesia from July 16 to July 31, 2021.
