Indonesian Futsal National Team convincing win over Malaysia in the men’s futsal match SEA Games 2021. Ardiansyah Runtuboy et al won 3-0.
Competing at the Ha NamG Gymnasium, Ha Nam, Vietnam, Monday (16/5/2022), Indonesia presented many opportunities throughout the match. However, the slick appearance of the Malaysian goalkeeper, Syawal Sabarudin, could eliminate these opportunities.
Time and again Syauqi Saud, Evan Soumilena, and Ardiansyah Runtuboy spread threats to the Malaysian goal. But many times, the ball can be anticipated by Sabarudin.
Ardiansyah Runtuboy almost scored a goal with three minutes remaining in the first half. His left foot kick directed the ball still thin to the side of the Malaysian goal.
Goal! Syauqi Saud was able to break into the Malaysian goal in the 18th minute. His shot from the right side failed to be dammed by Sabarudin.
Left behind, Malaysia tried to press turns. Ridzwan bin Bakrie failed to take advantage of opportunities from the right side. His shot just bounced off the goal Indonesian Futsal National Team. The 1-0 score lasted until the break.
The second half was running, Indonesia immediately continued the pressure. As a result, Firman Ardiansyah was able to add two goals for the Red and White team.
Malaysia practically could not create meaningful opportunities in the second half. There was no attack that could harm Indonesia’s goal.
In fact, Indonesia could have a chance to add a goal through a penalty. However, Evan Soumilena’s efforts could still be denied by Sabarudin. Until the game broke up, the score was 3-0.
Victory makes Indonesian Futsal National Team lead the standings with 7 points from 3 matches, while ahead of Vietnam, which collected 4 points from 2 matches and will only play on Wednesday (18/5/2022). Meanwhile, Malaysia is still the caretaker by not winning at all at the 2021 SEA Games.
