Jakarta, IDM – KRI Bima Suci made a number of preparations to carry out the 2022 Kartika Jala Krida (KJK) goodwill cruise expedition at the East Madura pier, Ujung Surabaya, Saturday (1/4).

The activities carried out began with rejuvenating equipment, cleaning ships, fulfilling logistical provisions, practicing ship roles and other activities that support the 2023 KJK Task Force’s voyage.

Kartika Jala Krida is a sailing practice for Naval Academy (AAL) cadets using the KRI Bima Suci training ship. This year the goodwill cruise will cover shipping routes to a number of countries for 214 days or about seven months, crossing the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe with a distance of 25,869 nautical miles.
The route to be passed is Surabaya–Batam–Sri Lanka (Colombo)–Oman (Salalah)–Saudi Arabia (Jeddah)–Egypt (Alexandria)–Algeria (Algiers)–France (Rouen)–France (Brest)–Netherlands (Den Helder) –England (Hartepool)–Norway (Fredrikstad)–England (Lerwick)–Norway (Arendal)–Germany (Rostok)–Spain (Vigo)–Tunisia (Tunis)–Egypt (Port Said)–Saudi Arabia (Jeddah)–India ( Cochin) and arrives back in Indonesia in November 2023.
