Director of PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) Yan Bastian died after an accident in Jakarta Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta on Saturday (16/10). The news was confirmed by the Marketing Director of PT Indomarco Prismatama Wiwiek Yusuf.
“That’s right (Yan Bastian died),” Wiwiek told detik.com, Sunday (17/10/2021).
Wiwiek also expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Yan Bastian in an accident Cipularang Toll Road.
“We are all deeply saddened by his passing,” he said.
For information, the container truck overturned at Km 91 of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta, hitting a Hyundai SUV. All passengers who were in the Hyundai car were victims.
There were a total of eight people in the car. One person died, namely the driver, and seven others were injured. The victim is a family member whose address is in Serpong, South Tangerang Regency.
“In the Hyundai eight people, the driver who died, others with minor injuries were taken to Abdul Radjak Hospital. They are one family: in-laws, children, and grandchildren,” said Head of Laka Satlantas Polres Purwakarta Ipda Jamal Nasir when contacted detik.com, Saturday (16/10/2021).
As a result of this incident, the truck driver was taken to the police station for further investigation.
“Yes (secured),” said Jamal.
Jamal said that before it overturned, the truck carrying the container swayed. The truck then swerved to the right and hit the Hyundai beside it on the Cipularang Toll Road.
“The SUV (type) was hit by a container. The container swayed, then it slammed right and rolled into the vehicle on the side, there was a Hyundai that was hit,” he said.
The accident previously occurred on Saturday (16/10) at 17.25 WIB. The handling process lasted for 3 hours and finished at 22.00 WIB.
