Soubré-Nawa regional labor director, Lou Maxime, launched an awareness and information campaign for individual representatives in the region on safety at work, Friday August 23, 2024 in the Gnamankoudji region.
According to Lou Maxime, this meeting is part of the implementation of the program Together to work on the main causes of child labor in Nawa (ENACTE) which identified as the main cause of child labor, poverty and other aspects taking including health and safety at work. as well as taking into account the social aspects of employees.
In spite of this view, the International Labor Office decided to fund the part of the study of labor in agricultural production to look at the working conditions of individual producers.
“The real targets are the individual agents on whom the audit conducts awareness surveys. These awareness raising studies aim to get individual producers to agree that labor monitoring is also involved in their plantations, in their individual production just as it is involved in companies. This action would ultimately allow routine control to be carried out as needed in all farms, said Lou Maxime.
He also and above all invited individual representatives and the cooperatives that lead them not to worry but to receive and facilitate the work of the representatives who will be on the ground until the achieve control.
Through this project, several missions will be announced very soon together with representatives and individual cooperatives in the implementation areas of Johin, Sarakagui and Liagui in the sub-prefecture of Gnanmangui.
