A man who was arrested in connection with the murder of Eddie Hutch Snr in 2016 has been released without charge. Hutch, a brother of Gerry Hutch, a leading figure in Ireland’s underworld, was shot dead at his Dublin home in February 2016. The killing was linked to a feud between two major Dublin gangs, which has claimed more than a dozen lives. The man, in his 30s, had been detained by detectives from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau as part of an ongoing investigation. However, he was released without charge late on Wednesday night. Investigations into the murder of Eddie Hutch are ongoing, with a number of arrests made over the past four years, although nobody has been charged with the crime.
