In Brazil, an indigenous boy, Tawy Zó’é, carried his 65-year-old father on his back through the rainforest for hours so that the man could receive a vaccine against the coronavirus.
He may have already done so in January 2021, at the beginning of the Brazilian vaccination campaign, but a photo of that beautiful moment has now been shared by the photographer.
Father and son
After a six-hour journey and a shot at the vaccination center, the boy left for home with his father on his back. The photographer of the image in question, Erik Jennings, is a doctor who has been working in the region for twenty years.
